VBS 2021 Resized

Join St. Dunstan's, Westmoreland UCC, and Church of the Redeemer for our Creation-themed Vacation Bible School! VBS will meet 9 am-12 pm, Monday, August 23 through Wednesday, August 25. Our camp is designed for children in preschool to 5th grade, though we ask that preschoolers be accompanied by a caregiver. Older siblings entering 6th grade and above can join us as volunteer camp staff!

Campers will spend the week learning about many of God's creatures and what we can do to protect them and our environment. We will spend our time doing very cool crafts, making music, and discovering new ways to serve our community. Campers will make their own Bible-quote pillowcases, edible creatures, and coral reef models. Our service-learning projects will include a stream cleanup activity and more. On Tuesday, parents are invited to join us for the last 15 minutes of camp for our hand chime performance.

To sign up, purchase one ticket per child on EventBrite and fill out the registration form and waiver here. Please let us know if the fee presents a challenge for your family. We would like to receive your registration form as soon as possible for planning purposes, but we are accepting registrations until the weekend before VBS. Masks are required, and for the comfort and safety of all we ask that participants confirm they are COVID-negative prior to the first day of camp. We hope you will join us for a week of fun!

Welcome to St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, a neighborhood parish with a heart for the world!

For over 60 years, St. Dunstan's has provided a spiritual home and "shelter from the storm" for all sorts   and conditions of people: local residents and passing wayfarers; families and individuals; young people   and seniors; life-long Christians, and those just beginning to explore a relationship with God.  In short, there is a place for you.  If you have never visited St. Dunstan's before, or if it has been a long time since   you worshipped with us, we encourage you to come visit soon.

We are a warm, growing, inclusive Christian community, and we would be delighted to count you among   our number. As an Episcopal Church and a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, we strive to offer a "middle way" between the Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions.  Followers of Jesus Christ, we honor both Word and Sacrament, immersing ourselves in Holy Scripture each week before gathering at the Lord's Table to be fed by Holy Communion. Together we celebrate Communion (the Eucharist) on Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m., and we invite you to join us at any time.

We hope that you will take a few moments to navigate the pages of this website and get to know us better. Perhaps you are "just passing through," or maybe you are looking for a permanent spiritual home: Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey of faith, know that you are most welcome here.  Come and see for yourself!

Warmly and faithfully,

The Reverend Patricia Phaneuf Alexander, Rector
