ST. DUNSTAN’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

MINUTES OF THE VESTRY

Present:, Reverend Jeff MacKnight, Rosi Sweeney, Cliff White, Cathie Morton, Beth Cohn, Brian Berger, Walter Douglas, Tim Nanof, Clint Chamberlin, Eleanor Smith, Sterling North, Jackie Karlin.

Opening prayer: Brian Berger read a passage from Corinthians. Then Brian led us in reflection about the passage.

Walter Douglas volunteered to share with us at the next meeting.

Agenda approved, minutes from March meeting read and approved.

Rector’s report:

Reverend Jeff began his report with a celebrative congratulation to Jackie Karlin for a festive Cherry Jubilee this past w/e. Jackie reported that the committee made approx. $3,800 and that in spite of the rain a good time was had by all. The addition of live music was greatly appreciated.

Jeff gave an overview of the May events.

May 15^th- Cabaret

May 16^th- Buisson family’s last Sunday. Dana Fellows to provide refreshments.

May 23^rd- New member liturgy and luncheon

June 6^th- Rebecca Myers last Sunday

Goals – Facebook/ Twitter

Tim Nanof to set up a facebook site

Crescent Trail event – Tim Nanof reported that Montgomery County requires a permit for a run/special event with an entry walk fee

Career Transitions

Jackie reported that she met with a person seeking employment and distributed resumes to others.

Jackie, Eleanor and Brian met and had a discussion on how to spread the word to perspective employers. One idea was to formulate 2 sets of cards facilitator/ those seeking employment.

Look at other parishes – St. Albans model

Facilities committee- Brian reported that there is a list of things to fix in the rectory.

There will be a men’s group to oversee and manage this.

Accessibility committee- was established to review accessibility for the disabled and review welcoming all to our services.

Survey – Beth will send out an email to ask for assistance in tallying results.

Treasurer Report – Cliff White distributed the balance sheets and reviewed them with the vestry.

There being no further business for the good of the parish the meeting was adjourned.
