This Sunday at St. Dunstan's

Please join your sisters and brothers in Christ at St. Dunstan's as we gather for worship via Zoom tomorrow,  July 26 (The Eighth Sunday after Pentecost),  beginning at  10:00 a.m.

You may choose to worship in one of three ways:

  • If you would like to be seen on screen, please log in to Zoom using this link. (Meeting ID: 826 4027 2649.) For security purposes, you will be taken first to a "waiting room" for just a moment until I can admit you. The link will go live at 9:50 a.m.: I encourage you to log on a few minutes early, so as to have an opportunity to connect with one another before we begin worship. Beginning at 9:55 a.m., Minister of Music and Organist Joseph Arkfeld will offer a contemplative prelude to help set the tone for worship. In order to ensure that everyone is able to hear and participate in the liturgy, please remember to mute your microphone once the service begins (lest you wind up doing an inadvertent solo during the hymn singing!).
  • If you aren't able to participate or watch in real time, you can find the recorded service on Facebook or on the St. Dunstan's YouTube channel later in the morning. I also will send out these links via my daily email message.

The Order of Service will be projected on the Zoom screen; if you prefer to download or print it ahead of time, it may be accessed  here .

After worship, please stay in the Zoom meeting for announcements and Coffee Hour. Please join us!

Just Married!

Please congratulate Jessica Ault and Johnny Shiao who were married this evening, July 25th, outdoors at St. Dunstan's! While only a few people were present, physically, they were joined by many family and friends via Zoom. Thanks be to God!

O God, faithful and true, whose steadfast love endures  forever: we give you thanks for sustaining Jessica and Johnny in the life they share and for bringing them to this day. Nurture them and fill them with joy in their life together, continuing the good work you have begun in them; and grant us, with them, a dwelling place eternal in the heavens where all your people will share the joy of perfect love, and where you, with the Son and the Holy Spirit, live and reign, one God, now and for ever, Amen.

An Opportunity to Serve:
Join St. Dunstan's Tech Ministry!

As we look toward worshipping together in person again - first outdoors and then, God willing, back in the church itself - we want to make sure than those who cannot join us physically still can participate online. To that end, we are working now to upgrade our A/V system in the church so that we will be able to livestream our services. But while having the right equipment is important, even the most state-of-the-art technology is meaningless if we don't have the personnel to run it!

In the coming weeks we will be launching a new St. Dunstan's Tech Ministry, and we are looking for volunteers to operate the camera and monitor the sound during in-person worship. Training will be provided...We have it on good authority that it won't be difficult to learn!

If you are interested in helping with this essential ministry, please email Patty at rector@stdunstansbethesda.org at your earliest convenience so that we can begin to put a team together.

Students: Do you need to complete Community Service hours for graduation? If so, please consider supporting your parish in this way!
