The News from
St. Dunstan's
May 24, 2021
From Our Senior Seminarian Intern
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Thank you so much for the blessing of being and serving with all of you the last two academic years. Mike and I have been so happy to be members of the St. Dunstan’s church family!
My experience at St. Dunstan’s has been foundational in helping me realize how much I enjoy working in a pastoral-size parish. Thank you for showing me how an extended family,
bound together as the Body of Christ, loves and cares for each other and the world -–even during a pandemic! I truly appreciate Patty’s leadership and mentorship, as well as the lay
leadership you have modeled for me.  Special thanks to my Lay Support Team members: Lynn Leonard (Convener), Julie Anderson, Joanne Comstock, and Mark MacCarthy for their
encouragement, wisdom, and commitment! Over the last two years, you have gifted me with much patience, mercy, and grace!! I strongly believe that the wonderful experiences I have had attending Vestry and  Staff meetings, leading Morning Prayer and Compline on Zoom, preaching, reading, and participating in the weekly liturgies have prepared me well to begin as Pastor-in Charge at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Lake Placid, Florida.  And, I also know I have
much to learn and trust the Holy Spirit will be very present!
Your love, prayers,  and care each week has sustained me during my seminary years. Please know that I carry each of you with me in my heart and will remember you in my daily prayers.
God’s peace and blessings to you and all whom you love!
With deep gratitude and love,

Updating the Prayer List
If you have placed someone on the St. Dunstan's Prayer List (see below), I would be very grateful if you would please update me as to how that person is doing.
If s/he needs to remain on the list longer, we gladly will continue to pray as long as necessary. However, if that person is ready to "graduate" from the list, we will be delighted to thank God for that joyous milestone!
