The Blessing of the Animals ~ Oct. 4
Blessing of the Animals:
Sunday, October 4,
4 p.m.
(Zoom Blessing: 3 p.m.)
All creatures, great and small, are warmly welcomed to St. Dunstan's Blessing of the Animals on Sunday! We will honor St. Francis of Assisi, who was known for his special love of animals, with special prayers for our furry, winged, finned, and scaled family members!
This year, in the interest of safety and social distancing, the Blessing of the Animals will be contactless. Please drive up to the lower circle (by the glass doors) and remain in your car; the Rector will come to you and bless your pet through the car window. Photos of pets and stuffed animals are welcome, too!
For those who would prefer to participate in the Blessing of the Animals virtually, please log on to this Zoom link at 3 p.m.Zoom Blessing of the Animals (Meeting ID: 853 8355 7278). Just hold your pet (or a photo or stuffed animal) up to the screen, and the Holy Spirit will take it from there!
Please join us as we give thanks for the beloved animals in our lives and ask God's blessing on them for the year to come.
