Stewardship 2021: What Can Love Do?
During worship yesterday we officially kicked off our 2021 Stewardship Campaign, "What Can Love Do?" If you attended Sunday's service you received a "goody bag" with information about this year's campaign, along with some treats from your Stewardship Committee. If you weren't able to worship with us in person, be on the lookout for a special delivery in the near future from one of our "Stewardship Elves." (If you do not receive a goody bag delivery in the next couple of days and would like one, please let us know. We'll be delighted to send one your way!)
Given the particular stressors facing our parish this year, we are hoping for 100 percent participation in pledging and an increase in individual pledges, wherever possible. If you have never pledged your support to God’s mission at St. Dunstan’s before, we ask that you consider, prayerfully, how you might contribute to this year’s campaign. Your faithful pledge - of any amount - will enable us to have the necessary resources to embrace our future, even in this challenging season.
If you are ready to make your 2021 pledge to St. Dunstan's, please click the campaign logo below to be taken to our online pledge form. Please do not hesitate to reach out directly to the Rector, the Rev. Patty Alexander, with any questions or concerns about Stewardship in this parish.

Daily Prayer with Redeemer
Beginning today, you have two opportunities for prayer every week day, Monday-Friday.
The schedule is as follows:
  • Each morning at 10 a.m. the Rectors of St. Dunstan's and our sister parish, the Church of the Redeemer, will offer Prayers for the Morning the old-fashioned way...by telephone! No worries about Zoom fatigue: All you need to do is call our dedicated "prayer hotline" (508.924.1769) and either Patty Alexander or Cricket Park will be on to pray with and for you. Please give it a try!
  • As well, you are invited to join friends from St. Dunstan's and Redeemer at 8 p.m. every evening, M-F, for Compline, the "good night prayer" of the Church. These services will be lay-led and will draw on a variety of sources, including our own 1979 Book of Common PrayerA New Zealand Prayer Book, Celtic Compline, and more! To participate in the Zoom, please use this link (Meeting ID: 754 5686 5769; Passcode: 2020).
Next Sunday's Service

next Sunday, October 25, on the church grounds

Help Wanted!
Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington Partner Parish Representative
Please consider serving as St. Dunstan’s next Samaritan Ministry Partner Parish Representative! Established in 1986 under the auspices of the Episcopal Church, Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington has a proven track record of transforming the lives of homeless and jobless people in the greater DC area. In the past St. Dunstan’s has played a key role in this work: this year alone, our Outreach Committee has granted SMGW $2,500 in support of their life-changing ministry in our community.
As a Parish Rep, you would represent St. Dunstan's at approximately six partner meetings per year and would help coordinate our participation in SMGW events. This is a meaningful and important ministry, and we hope that you will give prayerful consideration to this opportunity. For more information about Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington, please visit their website. To volunteer as Partner Parish Rep or to explore whether this might be your call, please contact Patty Alexander.

St. Dunstan's is now accepting applications for a part-time Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries, and we need your help to spread the word!
Please share this position description with anyone whom you think might be interested in applying.
