March for Our Lives
Mar 8 2018 7:04 PM
The recent shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida has empowered survivors of that day to take to the airwaves and social media in ways not seen before. The students from the school have called for a march in Washington DC and in cities across the U.S. on Saturday, March 24. The Diocese of Washington is seeking congregations to provide support for marchers coming to the city and encouraging participation in the event. A prayer vigil is also being planned at Washington National Cathedral for Friday evening. Not all details are known as planning is still in process.
St. Dunstan's has offered to host youth groups for both Friday and Saturday evenings and provide some meals. Our P.R.A.Y. youth who are interested will join other youth and march behind our diocesan banner.
How can you help? Are you willing to be a host for one of the evenings at the church? Maybe you would like to make breakfast on Saturday
or Sunday morning? Would you be willing to stay at the church overnight? Please be in touch with Sue
to offer your time and talents for this event or to join those who will march from St. Dunstan's.
