The Sixth Sunday of Easter
Today's Worship
Love one another, as I have loved you
(Mixed media art by Sue Carroll)
Dear parishioners and friends of St. Dunstan's:
Thank you to all who worshipped with us this morning! Despite the uncertain forecast, the weather held and we were able to enjoy the opportunity to praise God together in the beauty of Creation. If you were not with us in person or online in "real time" today, I have included the link to the recording with this email. Simply click on Sue Carroll's beautiful liturgical art (above), and you will be taken to the YouTube channel. (Also: If you left a gray towel in Founder's Hall after the service, please let me know; I am holding it in my office for you!)
Special thanks to Robin Reed for her sermon today: While she and her husband, Mike Brown, will be with us for two more Sundays, this was the last time we will hear Robin preach as our Senior Seminarian Intern. I hope that those who have gotten to know Robin over these past two years will have a chance to wish her well and thank her for blessing us with her presence during her time at Virginia Seminary. Robin has brought so many gifts to her ministry among us, and she will be missed.
Please plan to worship with us again next Sunday, May 16. We will continue to gather outdoors as long as the temperature and the cicadas allow! Please use THIS LINK to register for next Sunday's service.
Finally, please note that I will be in New York on Tuesday for the memorial service of one of my former parishioners. In the event of a pastoral emergency while I'm away, please email or text me (contact information below), and I will be back in touch as soon as I am able. I will be back in the office for Bible Study on Wednesday.
Blessings and love,
The Rev. Patricia Phaneuf Alexander, Rector
