This Sunday, October 10

Celebration of Holy Eucharist
with Children's Chapel and
October Birthday and Anniversary Prayers
Outdoors on the St. Dunstan's Grounds (weather-permitting)
Come worship together in the beauty of God's Creation this Sunday! Children will be invited to join Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries Elise Flick for Children’s Chapel during the Liturgy of the Word (readings and sermon); they will return to their parents before the Peace.
If you are planning to attend Sunday's in-person service, please consider signing up as a liturgical participant (reading, leading prayers, setting up/cleaning up, etc.) by using this link.
In the event of rain, the service will move indoors; we will communicate any change via email by 7 a.m. on Sunday.
This week we welcome
The Reverend Jenifer Gamber as our special guest preacher. Jenifer+ is on the Bishop’s staff at the Diocese of Washington, serving as Director of the School for Christian Faith and Leadership and Tending Our Soil Thriving Congregations Initiative.
Please come meet Jenifer+ and learn more about what God is doing in and through the Diocese of Washington - including
St. Dunstan's!
Coats for Afghan Refugees
“…I was naked and you gave me clothing.” Matthew 25:36
Fall is here, and many newly arrived Afghan refugees undergoing in-processing at U.S. military bases need warm winter coats. ADAMS Center (All Dulles Area Muslim Society) in Sterling, Virginia is collecting 13,000 new or gently used and clean(ed) winter coats for men, women, and children in all sizes. Can you help?
If you would like to participate, please drop off your donation(s) at the St. Dunstan's Parish Office by no later than close of business on October 13. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., or by appointment; coats also may be brought to church this Sunday, October 10. St. Dunstan's staff will deliver the community's contributions to the ADAMS Center, and we could use help! Alternatively, coats may be mailed directly to 20904 Sandstone Square; Sterling, VA 20165 by October 15.
Thank you for supporting our new Afghan neighbors!
