This Sunday at St. Dunstan's

Dear friends,
The weather for tomorrow is looking better and better, so - assuming that nothing changes between now and then - we are planning to go ahead with our first in-person worship service since the pandemic forced us to close our buildings back in March! The service will take place outside, on the church grounds, beginning at 10 a.m.; attendance is by pre-registration only. If you signed up ahead of time, you have received the bulletin and additional reminders by email this afternoon. Please remember to print your bulletin at home (or else plan to read it from your device), and be sure to wear a mask and bring a chair! If the weather does take a turn for the worse, we will cancel the outdoor service and will worship via Zoom, instead; please check your email at 7 a.m. tomorrow for an update.

For those who won't be able to join us in person tomorrow, please know that it is our intention to live-stream the service on the St. Dunstan's Facebook page  beginning at 10:00 a.m. Those worshipping with us from home can find this week's bulletin here. Assuming that the live-stream works, the service also will be recorded and sent out via email later in the day.

Having been burned by technology more than once over the course of these past several months, we do have a contingency plan in place: In the event that we are unable to live-stream via Facebook for any reason, I will record a modified version of the service later in the day and will send it out via email. It won't be the same, but it will be better than nothing!

Following this initial outdoor service, the Regathering Team and Vestry will evaluate next steps and will hope to hold additional outdoor services in the future - perhaps as soon as on September 27. An online option (either via Zoom or live-stream) will continue to be offered.

Thank you, as always, for your patience and good humor as we continue to discern the best way forward for our worshipping community. I look forward to falling into a regular (Dare I say predictable?) rhythm of worship this fall, to enable everyone to participate in the way that makes most sense for him/her. In the meantime, please do hold your lay leadership and me in prayer as we forge ahead in faith!

Blessings,
