This Sunday at St. Dunstan's
I look forward to seeing many of you for our service of Holy Eucharist tomorrow, September 27, beginning at 10 a.m. on the church grounds! Once again we will be treated to jazz music courtesy of The Joseph Arkfeld Trio; our Senior Seminarian Intern, Dr. Robin Reed, will preach. Attendance is by pre-registration only: If you signed up ahead of time, you will receive a separate email with a few reminders in a few minutes. Please remember to print your bulletin at home (or else plan to read it from your device), and be sure to wear a mask and bring a chair! In the unlikely event that the weather does not cooperate in the morning, we will cancel the outdoor service and will worship via Zoom, instead; please check your email at 7 a.m. tomorrow for an update.
Please click HERE for this week's bulletin.
For those who won't be able to join us in person tomorrow, we will live-stream the service on the St. Dunstan's Facebook page beginning at 10:00 a.m. If you have any difficulty accessing the live-streamed service, or if it fails to broadcast properly, please be sure to let me know so that we can trouble-shoot before the next time. The recording of the live-streamed service also will be sent out via email later in the day.
At this service we will distribute the consecrated bread (host) only; wine will not be consumed. Congregants will be invited by pods to pick up their hosts in individual cups to take back to their seats. Masks will be worn at all times, removed only momentarily when consuming the Sacrament. Those who choose not to receive Communion may opt instead to come forward for a distanced blessing. We also will offer a Prayer of Spiritual Communion for those worshipping with us from home.
I ask your prayers for our gathering tomorrow, and I pray that you all have a peaceful, blessed evening!
